When you have closed guard the cross collar grip opens the opportunity for doing the Cross Collar Choke. You can finish the choke using grips on one or two collars. You can also use the opponents lapel to finish the choke, or you can use the lapel and his arm if his arm is defending the choke (Brabo Choke).
